Jerry has worked in Health and Social Care in leadership roles at the Director level across Adult and Children's Care, Housing, and CCG environments for over 30 years.
He has also worked in regulation arenas prior to CQC and Ofsted emergence. He has led commissioning and procurement modernisation in Nottingham, review disability services in Guernsey and looked at re configuring Mental Health Services in Essex.
He also spent time as the Regional North West Social Policy Lead for the DH in Adult Care, and briefing Ministers on Social policy implications.
In 2007, he founded Janjer, a Health and Social Care Consultancy, which he later sold to Markel Int. in 2016.
Post-sale, he continued to be involved in the Insurance Industry as Markel’s lead on consultancy services providing specialised support and insight into the care and health sectors advising on appetite and risk controls to Underwriters, Brokers, and Insured clients.
The evolution of Janjer to Markel Consultancy Ltd has seen Markel Care Practitioners and Markel Health & Safety edge a rich seam of business advice in the Insurance Sector.
His time with Markel continues to be exciting and has allowed Jerry to leverage his expertise in the insurance sector, particularly through Markel Care Practitioners and Markel Health & Safety, carving out a niche in business advice. His pursuit of a Master's in Entrepreneurial Leadership, focusing on liability reduction strategies and tools, further cements his commitment to excellence and innovation in his field.
In addition, our partners from the Energy and Insurance sectors will also be in attendance to explain our cost-saving initiatives.
